1. Rose Bowl

This trumps going to a normal January bowl game. Going to the Rose Bowl is the pinnacle of Spartan fandom. Sad to say, I’ve never been able to attend the game, even when I spent a short six-month stint out in Southern California the year Michigan State went to the Rose Bowl.

Connor Cook led the Spartans to the “Grandaddy of them all” back in 2013 and it was one of those moments when Michigan State fans everywhere were proud. Even being in the game was something that hadn’t been done since 1988. Kids who were attending Michigan State in 2013 had never even witnessed the green and white in that game before.

More from Michigan State Spartans

In case you don’t know, the Rose Bowl has been granted to the Big Ten’s champion for years. Michigan State has been to just five in school history, going an impressive 4-1 when reaching the big stage.

Dantonio could surely lead the Spartans back to Pasadena, Calif., in the foreseeable future for another Rose Bowl contest, so I’d suggest you jump on the opportunity to travel west for it, if you’ve never gone and call yourself a Michigan State fan.

You never know when another one will take place with the Spartans in it, so don’t miss on the next opportunity.
