Projected Round: Early 4th

Aaron Burbridge is a guy who I think should be going earlier than the fourth round, but it’s understandable to see him projected this low by many scouts and draft experts. He had one great season at Michigan State, so the sample size is so small, but his athleticism and playmaking abilities at receiver should be coveted by many.

Scouts are worried that he’s not a big deep threat and he doesn’t have ideal size or length, but his production in one season should trump that. Playing behind guys like Tony Lippett and Bennie Fowler during his career at Michigan State, he didn’t have much of a chance to produce until his senior year.

Following Lippett’s departure, Burbridge assumed the No. 1 receiver role in 2015 and showed off his abilities. He caught 85 passes for 1,258 yards and seven touchdowns — basically tripling his previous career-highs for a single season.

Burbridge stands 6-foot-0 and weighs around 200 pounds, running a 4.50 40-yard dash, making him good, but just not good enough for top three round consideration, apparently.

Whichever team decides to take a chance on him surely won’t regret it.
