This is a name to know for the next couple of days. Four-star 2017 receiver Danny Davis will be taking an unofficial to East Lansing for the spring game and I have already predicted he could be one of five guys who could commit this weekend.

Davis may rank just 208th overall and as the No. 26 receiver in the class on 247Sports, but he could be in for a huge ratings boost, especially if his highlight film is any indication. This is a must-watch:

The junior from Springfield, Ohio, is a dynamic athlete. He can line up in the backfield and take handoffs or even split out as a wide receiver and burn defensive backs deep for a long catch. He’s labeled a receiver, but he can truly do it all.

Not only can he play multiple positions, but he plays them well. Davis has speed to burn and it’s obvious when watching his film that he’s much better than what his ratings suggest. That’s exactly why rankings and stars mean very little until these guys step foot on campus.

Michigan State is trending in the right direction with the Ohio-native and it could be a matter of days, or even hours, before he decides to roll with the green and white. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound receiver could be catching passes from fell Ohioan Messiah deWeaver in the near future.
