As someone who’s had the pleasure of watching five-star receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones in person multiple times, take it from me when I say he’s the real deal. This kid is ranked in the top 10 nationally according to basically all recruiting services and he lives up to the billing.

I’ve seen him make some Calvin Johnson-esque catches and he makes them look routine. Not only does he make plays that will have you rubbing your eyes to ensure that it wasn’t your imagination, but he’s also a humble kid — not something you usually see from a five-star recruit who’s considered the top receiver in the nation.

Michigan State already has a couple of wide receivers committed for the 2017 class, and another could be on the way, so that leaves one or two spots left for the position group. However, you can be sure Dantonio will make room for Peoples-Jones if he’s truly interested in joining the green and white.

Peoples-Jones has to be the crown jewel of the 2017 class and the one guy who is most important this weekend. He’s ranked No. 5 in the country and as the top receiver, according to the 247Sports‘ composite.

By watching his film, you can just tell that he has all the tools necessary to blossom into a star at the next level and into the professional ranks.

If Michigan State can land Peoples-Jones, that will be Mark Dantonio’s biggest recruiting victory in his coaching career.
