As a coach, the goal is always to have your program be called a ‘dream school’ by a top recruit — or any prospect, at that. Well, for Tom Izzo, five-star power forward Brandon McCoy has said just that, dubbing Michigan State as one of his ‘dream schools’.

McCoy visited East Lansing back in September for the Oregon football game and got a nice experience and a possible forecast into what his future Saturdays could be like as a student athlete.

There are just three Crystal Ball predictions on 247Sports for the San Diego, Calif., native and none are for the Spartans, but don’t let that fool you. The three with predictions right now are Cal, San Diego State and Oregon — all who have offered and are closer to home than MSU.

It all depends on whether or not Michigan State is too far or how his relationship with Izzo eventually develops.

The five-star high school junior stands 6-foot-10 and weighs 200 pounds. Besides MSU and the previous three mention, he also holds offers from Arizona, Connecticut and Kansas, among others. McCoy is ranked No. 13 overall and as the fifth-best power forward on 247Sports.
