JaVonte Richardson, another one of the players in the class who I believe is very close to committing, happens to be one of the bigger receivers in the class, in terms of height.

Standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 210 pounds, he could be the perfect complementary piece to a receiving corps with Donnie Corley, Justin Layne, Cam Chambers and Trishton Jackson — as well as whomever the Spartans add along with him in the 2017 class.

Another prospect without a Michigan State offer, the staff is likely waiting to see him camp out in the summer to make an offer or even wait to see how he performs in the fall. His top three offers right now are Kentucky, Michigan and Syracuse, but the Spartans and Ohio State Buckeyes seem to top his list.

Wide receiver is probably going to be the last position of need for the Spartans in 2017, but as you’ll be able to tell by this list, there are a couple of players at the position who Michigan State just won’t be able to pass up if given the opportunity to land them.

Richardson ranks the No. 228 overall players and 31st-best receiver in the class, according to 247Sports‘ composite.
