3. Prince Sammons, 4-star DE/OT

Projected school of choice: Michigan State

Word on the street is that Prince Sammons and Michigan State are developing a solid relationship and he’s the Spartans’ to lose at this point. Taking a visit last weekend for the Maryland basketball game to get one final look at campus which might eventually be his home one day, Sammons seemed to have a good time and it could just be a matter of time before he commits.

There’s no actual evidence of this, but I’ve heard there were a couple of commitments for the 2016 class this past weekend and one might be holding out until all of his visits are done with to make a final choice — that could very well be Sammons.

Dantonio has recruited the state of Ohio very well over the past few years and this class has been no different as guys like Justin Layne, Messiah deWeaver, Joe Bachie, Noah Davis, Austin Andrews, AJ Arcuri, Luke Campbell and Matthew Coghlin have all come from the state to the south.

Sammons has liked Michigan State for quite some time and it seems like every time a recruit is heating up with the Spartans and then visits shortly after, a trigger is pulled.

Don’t be surprised to see Sammons commit either on National Signing Day or shortly after his final visit this weekend with Auburn. If I were to guess, it’s probably down to Michigan State, Duke and Auburn with the Spartans as the leader.

Barring an unreal visit to Auburn this weekend, he’s all green.
