1. Connor Cook’s still got it
When Connor Cook ran onto the field for the first series of the game against the Nittany Lions, you can bet everyone in Spartan Stadium had the same amount of excitement followed by anxiousness when watching the defense rush him for the first couple of times.

There’s no doubt that Cook felt the same way as he got rid of the ball very quick in the first couple of drives and stuck to the shorter passes, eventually opening it up for a nice 29-yard beautiful over-the-shoulder throw and catch to R.J. Shelton.
After that touchdown pass, it was clear that the senior quarterback still had it. Although a little velocity was missing on his throws, as to be expected after a shoulder sprain, it was clear that his accuracy was still there and he performed great through the air against one of the best defenses in the conference.
Cook may have missed the biggest game of the season thus far for the Spartans against Ohio State in Columbus, but he has a chance to redeem himself in the coming month.

The doubters were silenced on Saturday as Cook played tremendously, completed 19-of-26 passes for 248 yards and three scores.
Cook is back, folks.
