5. Blocked FG against Baylor

Comebacks galore. With the Spartans down three scores against Baylor in the 2015 Cotton Bowl, it was seemingly the worst performance by a Dantonio-coached team in a bowl game. Although it did take a few years for Dantonio to win his first bowl game with the Spartans, this had to be the most disappointing — even in his first batch of losses from 2007-10.

Heading into the fourth quarter with a 41-21 deficit and Bryce Petty leading Baylor on yet another long drive, the Spartans knew they had to clamp down and really wake the secondary up, holding the Bears to zero points the rest of the way.

That seemed extremely unlikely as the Bears seemed to do whatever they wanted against this Michigan State defense and Petty was looking like the Heisman winner.

However, that did happen as MSU shut the Bears down for the remainder of the game, not allowing a single score, even though Baylor had a chance to take an almost insurmountable 44-35 lead with about a minute left, but you can never count out a Mark Dantonio-coached squad.

Just watch the unbelievable comeback ignited by this ridiculous blocked field goal which later resulted in a game-winning touchdown pass from Connor Cook to Keith Mumphery.

Note: The play happens around the 9:16 mark. It doesn’t hurt to watch the entire highlight, either.

Probably the best comeback in MSU history in terms of magnitude.
