Now we get into the final two guys who might be must-gets for Dantonio in order to consider the 2016 class a complete success. While it’s already nearly finished and looks the part of his top group ever, there are about 3-to-5 spots left which could be filled by elite talent yet.

Lavert Hill from Detroit King is one of those talents and even though he’s a current verbal commit to the Penn State Nittany Lions, it seems as if his interest in that school has weakened over the past few months as his desire to play with his best friend, Donnie Corley, in college seems to be rising.

There are a couple of things that could help the Spartans land Hill and a couple that could hurt MSU’s chances.

First, if MSU can get Donnie Corley, Hill might not be too far behind. That’s an attractive position for both players. Second, early playing time might be promised since the current secondary is not living up to the high Michigan State ‘No Fly Zone’ standards and a couple of guys are graduating. And third, he has a solid relationship with Dantonio and has been to campus multiple times. MSU is a national contender every year.

James Franklin, on the flip side, is one of the best recruiters in the conference and players seem to love him — that might keep him with the Nittany Lions. His brother, Delano Hill, plays for the Michigan Wolverines. Lastly, Penn State’s defense is one of the best in the conference, which could keep Lavert interested.

Either way, an addition of Hill would mean a resurgence of the ‘No Fly Zone.’
