2. Aaron Burbridge circus catch

From one solid receiver to another, Aaron Burbridge has been the man for the Spartans this season, catching a team-high — and career-high — 44 passes for 702 yards and four touchdowns. He has had a number of unbelievable catches this season, even a handful coming against the Wolverines and the top cornerback in the Big Ten, Jourdan Lewis.

However, no catch for the senior receiver has been as remarkable as this one he had in week three against the Air Force Falcons:

This play was great for a few reasons. First of all, Burbridge had to fight off a defender to get good position on this perfectly-placed ball by Cook. Second, he had to turn his body completely to make the snag in mid-air. Lastly, he had to know where he was on the field in order to keep at least one foot in bounds while he made the reception.

All of those combined for the most amazing catch you will see by a Michigan State receiver this year — unless, of course, Burbridge outdoes himself.

Burbridge is taking the role in which Tony Lippett had last year of top dog after being buried on the depth chart in previous years. He’s succeeding and looking like a true NFL talent.
