2. Scott records four 100-yard games
Okay, so I kind of cheated for this one. True freshman running back L.J. Scott has already rushed for 100 yards once this month, so I’m going to piggyback off that performance and predict that he will do it three more times, once in each of the final three games of October.
Against Purdue, Scott finished with 146 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries, later being named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week — the second time this season he has been honored as such. Now that he is starting to gain confidence, he will add possibly another one of those awards along with three more 100-yard contests.
Don’t think that I’m hating on redshirt freshman Madre London, though. I think London will chime in with two 100-yard games of his own, falling just short against the Boilermakers as he finished with 97 yards on 17 carries.
This duo has to be one of the scariest for opposing defenses in the country. Neither guy gets tackled very easily and both are as elusive as any. Too bad for defenses, this duo will be around for at least two more years.
A few years down the line when Abdul Adams is starting, we will be talking about if he can live up to the success his predecessors had.
