1. Jamal Lyles becomes a weapon
Spartan fans are well aware of Lyles and the talent that he possess. Lyles was converted to tight end from the defensive side of the ball due to his athleticism.
Josiah Price injured his ankle at the end of the game against Central Michigan. Unsure of the severity, but I think it is safe to say that if Price does play, it will be in a limited role. In steps Lyles with his first opportunity to fully show his skills in the offense and truly become that red zone target for Connor Cook who people have waited to see.

Last year, Lyles struggled with run blocking and it was difficult for him to get on the field. He has gained the coaches trust that they can effectively put him in there but he has still be limited in his role up to this point.
Jamal will take full advantage of this opportunity and be a prime target for Cook as he occupies the middle of the field. His final stat line will be six catches for 70 yards and a touchdown, filling in seamlessly for Price and showing Spartan Nation, as well as the coaches, that they have yet another weapon their disposal.
