2. Offensive line lives up to its billing

Last week’s showing against Air Force couldn’t have been more disappointing for Brian Allen, Jack Allen, Jack Conklin and company. Those guys are award-winning offensive linemen, but failed to do their job against Air Force, allowing three sacks against a much smaller defensive line/linebacker group and failing to get the run game started.

The O-line will live up to its billing in this one, really making sure that they protect Connor Cook so they don’t have to keep scraping him up off the ground after a sack.

I predict there will be no sacks allowed by the big guys up front and, as mentioned before, the run game will see some success. This might be the best offensive game of the year for MSU, as it should be.

Michigan State is no longer in early-season mode as it is four games in, so it should be locked, loaded and ready to put up some big numbers against a moderately-tested Central Michigan defense that has yet to see an offense like MSU’s this season.

The offensive line will be throwing Central’s D-linemen around like rag dolls and that, in turn, will help Cook and the rest of the offense have major success.
