5. Aaron Burbridge’s reign will continue
I don’t remember the last time a receiver really broke out in the way Aron Burbridge has for the Spartans this season. The last true breakout receiver could have been either Tony Lippett last year or Devin Thomas over five years ago. Both guys had average seasons the year prior to having career seasons.

Burbridge has caught 20 passes for 376 yards and four touchdowns this season, recording 100 yards in each of the Spartans’ three victories. He has really taken over that No. 1 receiver role and he’s becoming the most reliable target for Connor Cook.
Michigan State will have success through the air in this one as a second and third receiver both step up — I’m going to say R.J. Shelton and Macgarrett Kings Jr. — allowing Burbridge to escape the dreaded blanket coverage.
Cook will be looking to really take over the offense in this one as the Spartans have been looking for that one truly breakout game from their star quarterback. Burbridge will find a way to eclipse the 100-yard mark yet again and it will be the second time in as many week he wows us with an incredible leaping catch in the end zone.
