Traveling to Notre Dame as favorites was something Georgia Tech wasn’t really expecting heading into the season, but after the Fighting Irish lost their starting QB Malik Zaire for the season, it made sense. However, the Yellow Jackets’ defense had a tough time running the ball against the stout Notre Dame defense and couldn’t slow down sophomore quarterback DeShone Kizer.

After a week one loss to Alabama at a neutral site, the Wisconsin Badgers have rebounded for two blowout wins in the past two games, outscoring their opponents 86-3 in that time. Joel Stave continues to look like a completely different quarterback as he took down Troy in week three with 202 yards and a touchdown on 13-of-17 completions. Keep in mind, the Badgers are doing this well without star running back Corey Clement.

If it wasn’t for a poor defensive showing in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s game against Fresno State, the Utah Utes would have had a big-time blowout. The score doesn’t justify just how much Utah controlled the game, but Devontae Booker’s 156 yards and two touchdowns might do the job.

Arizona‘s offensive showing on Saturday night against Northern Arizona was just what the doctor ordered after a couple of so-so performances in the previous two weeks. Sophomore quarterback Anu Solomon looked refreshed, passing for 285 yards and four touchdowns while fellow sophomore Nick Wilson was also effective, rushing for 143 yards and two touchdowns.

Senior quarterback Jerrard Randall really stole the show, rushing the ball three times for 149 yards and two scores — yes, a 50 yards per carry average.

It seems like every year Texas A&M gets off to a hot start in the season, but wavers when the year progresses. However, sophomore quarterback Kyle Allen looks new and improved while senior running back Tra Carson is getting stronger by the week. Allen finished the week three win over Nevada with 270 yards and four touchdowns while Carson added 137 yards rushing.
