4. Ambry Thomas, 4-star 2017 CB

The city of Detroit has some supremely talented prospects and one of those young stars happens to be four-star cornerback Ambry Thomas. Teammates with a couple other top MSU targets such as Lavert Hill and Donnie Corley, Thomas could be the second in-state to commit to Michigan State.

Thomas is a product of Detroit King and considered one of the best in his class at cornerback. The scary thing is that he can play both sides of the ball particularly well as he has scored a couple of touchdowns on the offensive side of the ball this season.

Michigan State is recruiting him to play defense, though, and that’s a smart move seeing as he’s rated the No. 132 player in the nation and the 12th-best corner, according to 247Sports.

Many thought he would be committing to Michigan State over the summer when his coach announced that the whole team wanted to get the big decision out of the way, but he has decided to wait, and this could be what he was waiting for.

This is all speculation, but I think it’s entirely possible.
