Saturday night will end up being one of the biggest exposure events in Michigan State history. Not only will a national audience be watching the Spartans’ every move, but so will hundreds of potential recruits who will be in attendance for the game.

Michigan State recruiting is expected to take off this weekend and it’s no surprise seeing as the No. 7 Oregon Ducks are coming to town to take on the fifth-ranked Spartans in the biggest non-conference battle at Spartan Stadium since the ‘Game of the Century’ decades ago against Notre Dame.
With the enormous amount of recruits and former players in attendance as part of the electric crowd that will fill up the stands, there is a big chance that Michigan State could receive some pledges from some of its top targets.
While this may seem like a major football-only event taking place in East Lansing, the Spartans expect the basketball program, and possibly other varsity sports, to have a big weekend for recruiting as well.
An atmosphere such as the one that will be present tomorrow night, and for the whole weekend, could mean that commitments are on the way. A handful of recruits who are nearing a decision for both football and basketball could be waiting until Saturday night to make the announcement.
Head coaches Mark Dantonio and Tom Izzo know that this is a once-in-a-decade type of event and they’ll need to take advantage of the recruiting potential.
Let’s take a look at five recruits who could commit this weekend.
