Demetrious Cox is a little different from a lot of the guys on this list as he was a highly-touted recruit coming out of high school from Pennsylvania.

Michigan State has recruited that region strongly in recent years and it’s starting to pay off with commitments from Cox and a handful of others — such as Damion Terry and Delton Williams.

The composite four-star and No. 11 safety from the 2012 class has spent a ton of time sitting behind some of the top defensive back talent in the nation for the past two years and now it’s his time to really shine.

Not many people are hyping Cox up at all, but the reality is that he’s a future star with his talent level and he could possibly become yet another defensive back selected in the first round of the NFL Draft before it’s all said and done.

Cox has finally earned a starting role, transitioning to cornerback and this has been a long time coming. It’s time to sit back and let everyone see just what every recruiting service witnessed when they granted him four stars.

The secondary is going to be scary this season.
