  • Rated as a four-star recruit and the No. 217 player in the nation by 247Sports, the 6-foot-3, 175-pound wide out has come to campus at the right time. Michigan State is down its top two receivers from last year in Tony Lippett and Keith Mumphery and this season it has a handful of seniors.

If all goes as planned, Davis III has a chance to become the No. 1 or No. 2 option going into next season and there’s potential for him to produce this year as well, possibly joining the rotation.

Although he’s still a bit lanky and could use a little more time in the weight room, if he bulks, adding a few pounds, he will have the ideal size and speed for a wide out.

In fact, as of right now, Felton is the tallest wide receiver on Michigan State’s roster. Not too often does a cornerback have the difficult task of going up against a 6-foot-3 receiver with decent speed.

Davis III is a future star and it’s too bad no one really talks about him.
