Michigan State has been receiving interest from a few already-committed players recently and one happens to be a hometown kid who plays for Detroit Martin Luther King High and basically dominates any competition.
Hill, a Penn State commit who has been high on the Spartans ever since receiving an offer on May 1, may be the most coveted player in the Dantonio era who has already made a pledge to another school. As a teammate of other top Michigan State targets such as Donnie Corley and 2017 cornerback Ambry Thomas, Hill knows that he has a decision to make in the coming weeks.
That decision, which could be swayed by the commitment of Corley, is between staying committed to the Nittany Lions or taking his talents to a different Big Ten squad.
In the past couple of months, although this may not mean anything to some people, recruiting ‘experts’ on 247Sports have give Hill about eight flip votes to Michigan State, meaning that many believe that he will flip to the Green & White before it’s all said and done.
Saying time and time again that he is “100%” committed to Penn State, Hill still sometimes leaves the door open to speculation by visiting East Lansing multiple times and speaking very highly of the coaching staff at MSU.
It has been Corley and Hill’s dream to play college football together and they have been good friends since the age of nine, so it will be interesting to see if Lavert decides to flip if Donnie commits to Michigan State.
This will definitely be one of the more interesting storylines to follow as even a Penn State pledge is high on the Spartans’ list.
