6. Alan Anderson, SG, Brooklyn Nets

Alan Anderson is probably the least talked about Spartan in the NBA right now and that’s probably OK with him. He is an under-the-radar type of player and the 32-year-old is in his sixth NBA season and could very well be one of the most solid role players that the Brooklyn Nets have on the roster.

In fact, he averaged the second-most minutes of any non-starter on the Nets and finished the season with a 7.4-point, 2.8-rebound per game average.

Playing in nearly 24 minutes per contest, the former MSU star posted the third-highest scoring mark of his NBA career while averaging the most rebounds per game in his short NBA tenure.

The Nets currently made the playoffs as the Eastern Conference’s No. 8 seed, barely squeaking in, but making the most of it as they will have to face the No. 1-seeded Atlanta Hawks.

Anderson plays a key role off the bench, but he has started 19 games this season, shooting 35 percent from three-point range and nearly 45 percent from the floor.

This is his second season with the Nets and he seemed to have fit in nicely with the team after his two-year stint with the Raptors.

Don’t be surprised if the former Final Four contestant helps the Nets give the Hawks a run for their money. Anderson is the kind of player that every team loves to have because he’s so competitive and his will to win is unmatchable.

Anderson’s season isn’t over quite yet, so expect a playoff performance recap when the Nets are eliminated.

Next: Jason Richardson, Philadelphia 76ers
