With Brad Salem now in charge of Michigan State football’s offense, what five things do we want to see from the Spartans?

Let the bashing of the Dave Warner era offense begin.

Michigan State had one of the worst offenses in all of college football last season which was surprising given the amount of talent returning from a 10-win team in 2017. The Spartans ranked 126th in scoring, 115th in rushing and 117th in total yards. It was an all-around embarrassment.

Some could have argued that the Spartans were an average offense away from winning 10 or 11 games. It’s hard to argue that because they lost games against Arizona State, Northwestern, Ohio State, Nebraska and Oregon which they likely would have won if they put up points like a normal offense and didn’t turn the ball over deep in their own territory.

Heck, they were tied with Michigan late in the third quarter, but the defense was just tired from being on the field the entire time and gave up a long touchdown which the offense could never make up.

Now that Brad Salem has taken over for Dave Warner, there need to be major changes on the offensive side of the ball.

What do we need to see from the new offense in 2019?
