The NFL is filled with former Michigan State football players and the ratings for each in Madden NFL 18 have been released.

It’s that time of year again. Football season is right around the corner and Michigan State is gearing up for what it hopes to be a major turnaround season. The Spartans are coming off a 3-9 campaign with an offseason that went just as poorly.

However, two more Spartans made their way to the NFL via the draft in the midst of all the turmoil. Malik McDowell was selected in the second round by the Seahawks and Montae Nicholson went a couple rounds later to the Redskins, joining Kirk Cousins.

This is also the time of year when Madden NFL 18 is nearing its release. That means that updated player ratings will be released as well and Seth Newman recently revealed each Spartans’ ratings via Twitter on Sunday.

Le’Veon Bell, to no one’s surprise, was rated the highest with a 97, which is pretty darn impressive and might just make him the top running back in the game. Jack Conklin, entering just his second year, is second with an 86 rating and Cousins in third, earning an 85 overall.

Tony Lippett, Trae Waynes, Brian Hoyer, Jeremy Langford, Darqueze Dennard, William Gholston, Domata Peko, Garrett Celek, Jerel Worthy, McDowell and Bennie Fowler all broke the 70 plateau and a handful of those guys could be in the 80-range by season’s end.

Who is rated too low, though? Brian Allen is the lowest of the bunch with just a 59 ratings, which is ridiculous if you ask me. Gholston should be higher along with Waynes, Drew Stanton and Shilique Calhoun. Connor Cook needs to prove himself this year to break 70, though.
