Michigan State recruiting is starting to heat up and everyone, even recruits, are predicting where five-star small forward Brian Bowen will end up.

Where will Brian Bowen end up? With Michigan State recruiting entering a week-long dead-period for basketball, it’ll be interesting to see which players the staff gets on campus for one last push. Bowen is one of the top two targets on the board, but he’s been tough to judge.

In fact, he once looked like a lock to pick the Spartans because of his family ties and familiarity with the program, but not anymore. Moreover, Arizona has moved into the driver’s seat, it seems. However, one fellow participant at the McDonald’s All-American Game this week predicted Bowen would pick the Spartans.

Fast forward to about the 1:10 mark as Quade Green (Kentucky commit) and Gary Trent Jr. (former Michigan State target and Duke commit) discuss where Bowen will end up. Trent Jr. seemed very confident in one school’s chances.

It’s always interesting to hear where certain recruits believe uncommitted targets are headed and Trent Jr. seemed to be entirely confident Bowen is going to pick the Spartans. He even issued a challenge to Bowen, saying that if he picks MSU and the Spartans play Duke in the Champions Classic, he better bring his ‘A’ game.

Should we take this prediction by Trent Jr. as gospel? Probably not, but there’s a reason why he seemed so confident that his buddy was going green. Now we play the waiting game.
