Draymond Green has made a big enough impression on fans that he now has his own song/rap.

The Golden State Warriors are the hottest team in the NBA right now, without a doubt. Sitting at 15-0, and counting, the Warriors have been the heavy favorite to repeat as NBA champs because of the play of not only Steph Curry, but Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes, Andre Iguodala and former Michigan State star, Draymond Green.

Coming out of college, no one outside of the MSU basketball program thought he’d be much more than a decent role player who wouldn’t excel at anything. Drafted in the second round, not many teams thought he was worthy of a high pick, passing on him at will.

After a couple years of growth, the former Spartan has since morphed into one of the league’s best all-around players and a guy who can record a triple-double on any given night.

“[Draymond] really is the heartbeat of our squad.” -Jeremy Wells

Michigan State fans surely miss the Saginaw-native suiting up in the green and white, but Golden State fans have that luxury nowadays. In his first year, or two, those fans didn’t quite realize what kind of talent they had under their noses, but now they’re in love like Tom Izzo was.

Music producer Jeremy Wells, aka Wellsy, and artist Ron Lennon worked together to show their appreciation for the NBA star with a remix of the popular Drake and Future song “Jumpman” to the tune of “Draymond”, a Draymond Green tribute — and it’s awesome. Just listen:

This producer/artist combo wanted to capture the heart of the Warriors in a song. This isn’t the first song the two have combined for about the Warriors, though, as Golden State picked up a song titled “Splash” during their playoff run last year.

“I just wanted to spread the word about our new Draymond tribute song over there at MSU,” Wells said. “I know how much the fans there love him as well as they do here in the Bay Area. We are continuing to write music for [the Warriors] this year as well, but first we had to make a Draymond Green track. He really is the heartbeat of our squad.”
