Tre Holloman is the hero on campus today in East Lansing and you just know he won't be paying for meals or drinks or a combo exchange at Sparty's for the foreseeable future.
Hitting a 60-foot buzzer-beater to take down the No. 16 team on the road, pushing your team's win streak to four games with three straight victories over ranked opponents, and four straight Quad 1 wins will earn you that kind of respect on campus. Everyone who supports the green and white has been celebrating since the final buzzer sounded on Wednesday night.
Holloman included.
The junior guard from Minnesota has been playing some of the best basketball of his career lately and he's been a big reason for this recent turnaround. He's led the Spartans to four straight wins and even though he gave up his starting spot to Jase Richardson, he hasn't skipped a beat.
Wednesday's game wasn't pretty and Holloman would even tell you he was taking some bad shots early on, but he settled in and scored all nine of his points in the second half, including the high-arcing 60-foot buzzer-beater to take down the Big Ten's third-place team on the road.
We got reactions from fans, former players, and media members already, but Holloman took to social media following the win and had a message for Spartan fans.
Appreciate all the love and support💚 we’re not done yet!!!! #Gogreen

Presumably he just woke up from a night of celebrating (joking) and decided to take to Twitter to thank the thousands of fans who tagged him and posted about him. It was a much-deserved hero's welcome back to social media after the game.
But he's right, Michigan State isn't done yet. While this one was great to celebrate and it meant a lot for the Big Ten title hopes, the Spartans can't get complacent and just act like anything has been won.
They still have three regular-season games left and they need to win at least two in order to win the Big Ten title (all three to win outright). It's great to celebrate such a special moment for a special player on a special team, but there's work to be done and you have to love this attitude from Holloman.
The job's not finished.
