There was a point in time when it looked like Rayshaun Benny was going to be a member of the Michigan State football program.
The four-star in-state defensive lineman was committed to Michigan State and Mel Tucker all the way until National Signing Day when he flipped to the Michigan Wolverines. It was a tough recruiting loss for the Spartans because it felt like Tucker was building recruiting momentum, but the flip was especially hurtful because it was Michigan.
Since then, Benny has shown that there's really no love for the Spartans anymore, declaring over the summer that the Wolverines were going to give the Spartans the belt.
Benny only added fuel to the rivalry fire on Monday during the Wolverines' media availability, claiming that a Spartan stepped on his hand during a play and that player apparently stood over him after doing it.
#Michigan DL Rayshaun Benny says he had a moment in the Michigan State game, where he didn’t react back as he got his hand stepped on and they stood over him.

While I haven't seen video evidence of this, I'm not discounting the fact that it happened. However, Benny is framing it in a way that makes it sound like it was done purposely and with malicious intent.
For some reason, I doubt that was the case.
If you've ever played football, you know that you're in danger of having body parts stepped on while you're on the ground in a pile. About 99 percent of the time, it's accidental. That one percent is saved for incredibly dirty plays that are usually caught on camera and provoke some sort of reaction. If he's going to make this claim, he needs to at least say who it was or admit that it was accidental.
Instead, he framed it as a malicious moment where he could have reacted but he showed that good 'ol "Michigan man" restraint and was the bigger person.
I'm going to file this one under "possible, but need evidence" because this happens every game.
