4. Charles Brantley interception

We have to give the defense some love because they played very solid all game. There were many plays I could’ve selected from the defense, but I’m going with the one turnover they forced during the fourth quarter.

Maryland was driving up seven in Michigan State territory with a chance to put the game out of reach, but Charles Brantley came up with a beautiful interception.

Unfortunately Michigan State’s offense wasn’t able to do anything after the turnover, but that ended up not mattering in the end. This play however was huge regardless because it kept the Spartans in the game. If Maryland scored even a field goal on this possession it would’ve been nearly impossible to win this game, but this interception by Brantley bought the offense more time to get back into the game.

Without this interception I truly don’t think Michigan State ends up winning this game.
