Top 10 NBA careers by Michigan State basketball alumni
Over the years, Michigan State basketball has produced some elite talent. Some of that elite talent has gone on to the NBA to have plenty of success.
While the Spartans are no Kentucky, Duke, nor North Carolina when it comes to producing NBA stars, they have still had a number of players go on to make names for themselves in the league. Heck, one of the greatest NBA players of all time is a Spartan.
So without further ado, let's take a look at the top 10 NBA careers from Spartans.
Honorable mention
Morris Peterson: So I have a handful of players in this honorable mention section, led by Morris Peterson. The former national champion had an 11-year NBA career and averaged 11.7 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. He played for three teams in that span.
Gary Harris: A lot of people would probably have Gary Harris in the top 10 of this list, but that's just how good the rest of the guys are. Harris probably should have had a better NBA career, but he's kind of slowed down in recent years after a red-hot start with the Nuggets. He's still playing, but he's appeared in nine seasons so far and has averaged 11.1 points over his career.
Eric Snow: This is one of the more underrated Spartans who made it to the NBA and he had a nice healthy 14-year career. You don't play in the league that long if you're not a really good player and Snow was a heck of a point guard, averaging 5.0 assists in 846 games played.
Johnny Green: Admittedly, I wasn't alive to watch Johnny Green play, but he nearly made this list because a 14-year NBA career is no joke. He averaged 11.6 points and 8.6 rebounds with six teams throughout his career and was one of the better players in the league during the 1960s.
