Center: Carson Cooper

Last but not least is the center. Let me first state that I would prefer for a transfer to be the starting center next season, but so far that doesn't look likely to happen. Tom Izzo hasn't publically contacted one center in the portal yet, so until that changes I am going to assume Michigan State is once again riding with who is on the roster.

Just like this past season, it will be center by committee again. Which is a little scary considering Mady Sissoko is no longer on the roster. But I believe Carson Cooper will get the start with Jaxon Kohler essentially splitting time with him as well.

As I mentioned before, I think Xavier Booker will see some time at center as well, but that will be sparingly.

Thankfully for Michigan State, they have enough talent at every other position that they don't need a dominant center. All they need is a center who can score a few buckets each game and be a beast on defense and rebounding the ball. Based on what we saw this past season, netiher Cooper nor Kohler are that player yet. But they have evey chance to grow into that if they have a good offseason.
