Projecting defensive starters for Michigan State football in 2024
Defensive End 2: Quindarius Dunnigan
The final defensive end spot is going to another transfer in Quindarius Dunnigan.
Dunnigan is entering his final season of college football after spending his entire career at Middle Tennessee State. This past season at Middle Tennessee was a good one as he set multiple career highs and was named to the All-Conference USA second team.
These career highs include tackles (35), tackles for loss (20), sacks (3), and pass breakups (10). Those 10 pass breakups might be the most impressive stat of all because you don’t usually see someone on the defensive line rack up those kinds of numbers. But those 10 pass breakups were No. 3 in Conference USA and the most in the FBS by a defensive lineman.
While Dunnigan is new to Michigan State, his experience will go a long ways in helping replace all the talent that MSU lost to the portal this offseason on the defensive line.
