Defensive Tackle 2: D’Quan Douse

This will be a trend you see throughout the rest of my selections, but the second starting defensive tackle I’m predicting is a new transfer to Michigan State.

D’Quan Douse is a graduate transfer from Georgia Tech who has just one season of college football remaining. During his career at Georgia Tech, he played in 44 games and made 22 starts all at tackle.

Douse racked up 69 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks during his career, which are very solid numbers for a defensive tackle. But it was his game against powerhouse program Georgia last year that got me excited.

Against one of the top programs in the country, Douse recorded seven tackles (four solo tackles) and a forced fumble against the Bulldogs. Not too shabby if you ask me.

Douse is also an extremely solid special teams guy as well and has a couple blocked kicks to his name. I won’t go as far to try and predict special teams starters outside of Michigan State’s kicker and punter, but it’d be hard to keep him off the field on special teams after seeing that stat.
