Predicting the final score of every 2024 Michigan State football game

7. Iowa

Next up is potentially the most favorable matchup of this four-game stretch, but you know you have issues when Iowa is the easiest contest.

However, I think Michigan State can absolutely win this game. Just last season, when all the drama was unfolding in the program, Michigan State went to Iowa and nearly pulled off the upset win on the road. And in all honesty, the Spartans probably should’ve won the game.

This year however will be different. Iowa will essentially be the same time as last season, an elite defense with an offense that struggles to move the ball. The difference this year however is that Michigan State will be much improved on both sides of the ball. The Spartans will also have a competent coaching staff, no scandals going on in the program and the home crowd on their side.

And to make it even better, Michigan State will be coming off their bye week and should be well rested for this game.

To me, this all adds up to a big victory for the Spartans to help them get their season back on track.

Prediction: MSU wins 17-14

Record: 4-3, 1-3
