15. Purdue

The Spartans' 15th game of the Big Ten season has become extremely important as they look to avoid a 3-game losing streak. Unfortunately another contender in the Big Ten is coming to East Lansing in Purdue.

Michigan State has been awful against the Boilermakers in recent years, only defeating them once in the last 10 meetings. So that has my confidence in this game extremely low.

Thankfully Purdue in my opinion will take a step back this season with Zach Edey now in the NBA, but this game still makes me very nervous.

Prediction: Purdue wins 68-65

16. @ Michigan

Michigan State needs a win now more than ever as they can't afford to lose four games in a row. With the Spartans at six losses already they are likely out of the running to win the Big Ten, but seeding is still on the line both for the NCAA and Big Ten tournaments.

Thankfully the schedule gets a little easier now, but not by much as the Spartans travel to Ann Arbor to take on Michigan.

The Wolverines were the worst team in the Big Ten last season, but a new coach and overhauled roster should see the Wolverines improve drastically this season. I however don't think they will improve enough to beat Michigan State.

Prediction: Michigan State wins 77-65
