13. Indiana

Game 13 is probably the biggest test of the Big Ten season for Michigan State. The Hoosiers in my head are the favorite to win the Big Ten, but thankfully MSU gets them at home. The other nice part about the schedule is that this is the only time the Spartans have to play Indiana this season, too.

Now while the Breslin Center will surely be rocking for this big of a game I'm not confident it will matter that much. I believe Michigan State is going to be a very good team this year, but I don't think they are a complete team. Indiana however is a complete team.

So unfortunately I just can't relaistically pick MSU to win this game right now even at home.

Prediction: Indiana wins 81-75

14. @ Illinois

Unfortunately for MSU the schedule doesn't get any easier after the Indiana game. The Spartans now travel to Illinois to take on the Illini for the second time of the season and Illinois will have revvenge on their minds as I already predicted MSU to win the first meeting, so it will be very difficult for the Spartans to avoid losing two games in a row.

As mentioned before, Illinois will be one of the strongest teams in the conference this season, this time I think that catches up to MSU. I think the Spartans will run into a buzzsaw this game against an Illinois team that would beat anyone in the country on this day.

Prediction: Illinois wins 85-74
