9. Minnesota

After a frustrating loss to Rutgers it will be nice to return home to face another easier opponent. Minnesota will be the first team Michigan State plays twice this season, and after their win in the opener the Gophers will have revenge on their minds.

I however don't see any way that Minnesota gets that revenge in East Lansing.

Prediction: Michigan State wins 77-68

10. @ USC

As Michigan State hits the halfway point in their Big Ten season they head out to what will probably be the most fun away trip of the season. The Spartans head west to California to take on the two new Los Angeles Big Ten schools, beginning with USC.

The Trojans will present a good road test for MSU as I see them as a team hanging around the middle of the Big Ten standings. So factoring that in along with the potential for a slow start after a long flight and I could see this game potentially not going Michigan State's way.

But I think the Spartans are too talented for USC. So I see MSU coming away with an impressive road victory in their first overtime game of the season.

Prediction: Michigan State wins 79-76 in OT
