8. Forced fumbles

Forced fumbles is another tricky stat as it can be a little lucky at times to force a fumble, but there’s one player I have circled that I thinks primed for a big season that could get it done.

Jordan Hall is a name you should become familiar with if you haven’t already. He’s a true sophomore linebacker who played in all 12 games last season as a freshman which included six starts. Now that he has another offseason under his belt, I think he’s ready to make his name known across the conference.

There’s a great chance that Hall’s already the best linebacker on the roster, and with that comes a lot of playing time and opportunities to force fumbles. I envision Hall plugging the holes in the run game and forcing the running back to fumble. I also see Hall adding a strip sack or two this season as well.

Prediction: Last year Hall forced one fumble, but he’s going to improve on that a lot. So in somewhat of a bold prediction, I think Hall will force four fumbles this year en route to making the All-Big Ten honorable mention team. And for fun, let’s say one of those fumbles is a strip sack that he returns for a touchdown.
