Football is back and vibes are high. On Tuesday, Michigan State football kicked off its fall camp and that just puts us one step closer to the start of the 2024 season and the Jonathan Smith era.

Following Tuesday's practice, Smith spoke to the media for the first time since last week at Big Ten Media Days and he had some good things to say about certain players.

While he said he didn't like to single individual performers out, he did admit that both Nick Marsh and Jaron Glover had big summers and are both coming along nicely.

It's good to hear that one of the most inexperienced position groups on the roster is having positive developments from two of its young stars.

Marsh comes to Michigan State as the top-ranked signee from the Spartans' 2024 recruiting class and he had a big spring which was capped off by a 100-plus-yard Spring Showcase. He looked the part of a future star at receiver and it sounds like he's only gotten better since then.

Glover actually entered the transfer portal this offseason and garnered some big-time interest (Georgia came calling) before deciding to withdraw and return to Michigan State. He had a strong freshman season and could be in for a breakout as a sophomore.

This offense is starting to come together nicely and if both Marsh and Glover can continue to get better, Aidan Chiles won't have any shortage of weapons in the passing game.

I'm interested to see how guys like Alante Brown and Antonio Gates Jr. are coming along, too.
