Two Michigan State basketball players had reached the 1,000-point mark for their Spartan careers this season -- until Tuesday night. AJ Hoggard joined in the fun with his 15-point performance against the Michigan Wolverines.

The first Spartan to reach that career mark this season was Tyson Walker. He had over 1,000 career collegiate points already but he scored his 1,000th in a Spartan uniform a couple of weeks ago. Following him shortly after was Malik Hall. He has also become just the 22nd Spartan in program history to score 1,000 points and reach 600 rebounds.

On Tuesday night, Hoggard joined the trio with 1,000 career points of his own and it was unfortunately overshadowed by a bigger milestone: Tom Izzo's 700th win.

Hoggard doesn't mind sharing the spotlight with his head coach and it's only fitting that they both hit a major career milestone on the same night because, well, they've both said that they are very similar which is why they've had such an up-and-down relationship.

The senior point guard had himself a heck of a night against his rival, going 7-for-14 from the floor and finishing with seven assists and just two turnovers as well. He was a major reason for the second-half comeback and he was facilitating to Jaden Akins all night long.

With three guys now in the 1,000-point club, it'll be interesting to see if the offense continues to improve like it has throughout the season. Outside of the Wisconsin game (and the second half against Maryland), this offense has been cooking.

Hopefully these milestones come with confidence.
