1. Michigan State pulls off the upset, Izzo wins No. 700

If you didn't think this would be my first prediction, you probably don't know me too well. I've been talking about Michigan State pulling off this upset all week long and not just because the Spartans are playing better but also I'm going to the game in Madison and they're 2-0 with a win margin of 27.5 points when I'm in attendance this season. Use that information however you'd like.

All jokes aside, Michigan State has been playing much better over the past month, winning eight of its last 10 games with the only losses coming on the road to Northwestern and Illinois.

If we saw this version of the Spartans a month ago when the Big Ten teased two games in December, I think we would have seen Michigan State beat Wisconsin in East Lansing and also Nebraska on the road. This team would have a much better record if it played this well since the start of the year.

But we don't live in a perfect world and the Spartans are 12-7 with a 4-4 record in the Big Ten.

After Friday night, though, the Spartans will be 13-7 and 5-4 in Big Ten play as Tom Izzo leads Michigan State to a huge win which will be his 700th as head coach. A milestone on the road against one of the best teams in the country when everyone is counting him out? A very Tom Izzo win for No. 700, if you ask me.
