Moneyball has taken center stage for Michigan State basketball fans as they get their first look at all the new Spartans before the season starts.

It's the middle of the summer so this is the perfect thirst-quencher for fans who just desperately want more content regarding Spartan hoops. It's just a Pro-Am so there's very little defense, but it's always fun to see how the freshmen look as well as any incoming transfers.

Well, it looks like the freshmen are holding their own, especially Jase Richardson.

The four-star incoming freshman has looked like a budding superstar during Moneyball and while there's no defense being played, like I said earlier, he's showing that he can score in a variety of ways and that offensive skill set is going to help him see the floor early on.

Richardson scored 19 points during the first night of Moneyball and then he finished with a whopping 42 to lead all scorers on the second night. He's averaging 30.5 points per game in two outings which is impressive considering he just got to campus a couple of weeks ago.

No, I'm not putting a ton of stock into Moneyball but Richardson being able to go off on that end of the floor, scoring from deep, mid-range, and even throwing it down just shows that he's going to be ready to compete for some minutes early on.

Will there be room for him in the point guard rotation with Jeremy Fears Jr. and Tre Holloman? If he continues to show he can score in a variety of ways, it's going to be tough for Tom Izzo to keep him on the bench.
