Saturday's Spring Showcase will be the first chance for Michigan State football fans to check out Jonathan Smith's Spartans. The team has been working behind the scenes and Smith has been trying to assemble a roster good enough to compete in the new Big Ten.

On Saturday, we'll get to see if this year's team is good enough to make some noise.

OK, so the roster isn't completely set in stone as Smith is still working the transfer portal, but it seems like we'll have a good idea of who most of the starters are, namely Aidan Chiles at quarterback.

There will be plenty to watch on Saturday afternoon in East Lansing, but here's how you can check out the game if you won't be at Spartan Stadium.

How to watch Michigan State football's Spring Showcase

Date: Saturday, April 20
Time: 2 p.m. ET
Location: East Lansing, Mich.
Venue: Spartan Stadium
TV: Big Ten Network (BTN will air on a delay starting at 4 p.m. ET)
Live Stream: BTN+

The Spartans will take the field at 2 p.m. ET and the Showcase is free to the public. Hopefully there will be a good turnout in Smith's first spring game as it would show that the excitement is back.

Unfortunately, the weather won't feel too spring-y with the high in East Lansing being in the 40s. That could deter some fans but the opportunity to catch Chiles and that new-look offense in person might be too good to pass up.

Let's hope for an injury-free spring game filled with plenty of exciting plays during the four-quarter scrimmage.
