A player like Malik Hall doesn't come around often. The Michigan State basketball star is a strong-bodied forward who can shoot from mid-range and his 3-point shot could use some work, but he is also an impressive athlete with his back to the basket.

NBA teams are intrigued by him.

In fact, he just wrapped up his eighth workout with a different team on Tuesday and this time it was with the Golden State Warriors, per MLive's Kyle Austin.

Not only was this his eighth workout with a different NBA team, but it's not even his final one before next week's draft. He reportedly has a few more scheduled this week which means that one-third of the league will have had an eye on him in the pre-draft process.

Does this mean he's going to hear his name called? I would say no, but it does show that teams are willing to take a chance on him after the draft, signing him to their Summer League squads.

Hall had an up-and-down career at Michigan State where he showed legitimate All-American flashes but then he'd disappear the next game and record zero stats. He also suffered an injury in 2022-23 that really halted any growth or development he had to that point. However, he returned in 2023-24 and became a star and one of the leaders on the team. He finally played to his potential. Hall averaged 12.7 points and 5.7 rebounds and he had a couple of stretches where he was borderline unstoppable.

It seems as if that has intrigued some NBA teams. These workouts he's getting scheduled prove that.

If a team gives him a chance in the Summer League, he could make some noise and potential sneak his way into a two-way contract or even more. I'm not calling Hall an overseas player just yet. He's too talented to say there's no NBA future for him.
