They're back.

After what feels like an eternity since they last took the court together, Cassius Winston and Matt McQuaid returned to East Lansing on Wednesday to visit Tom Izzo and Michigan State.

The two look happier than ever, but Spartan fans voiced their fondness for the backcourt duo all over social media as they were together the last time Michigan State made a deep run in March.

Oh, and they won multiple Big Ten titles together.

It's great to see two legends of Michigan State basketball return to campus and check out the program. Not only does this help the current team, but it has to help recruiting knowing that guys who graduated 4-5 years ago (and more) are coming back to campus to visit Izzo and the program. They love Michigan State and they clearly couldn't wait to reunite in East Lansing.

Seeing them together brings back some great memories like the three-game Michigan sweep in 2019 where both went off and took over on the way to a second straight Big Ten crown. Also, the Elite Eight game against Duke in that same season when Cassius and McQuaid made big play after big play to upset the superstar-riddled Blue Devils on the way to a Final Four.

It pains me to think that McQuaid's last time in a Michigan State jersey was the Texas Tech game because his 3-pointer was inches away from making him a Spartan hero for life.

McQuaid is now helping out in the NBA with the Houston Rockets as part of their coaching staff and Winston is still playing overseas and dominating.

Hopefully they come around more often. They've been missed.
