Punter: Mike Sadler

Last but not least is punter, and for me this is an easy selection.

The late Mike Sadler was as good as they come when it comes to elite punters. He played for Michigan State from 2011-2014 and was by far the best of all the punters from the Dantonio era, Sadler leads them all in punting yards by a large margin and he also is No. 2 in average punting yards, just 0.2 yards behind Jake Hartbarger.

An impressive 39 percent of Sadler’s punts ended inside the 20, and nearly 17 percent went for over 50 yards.

If you ever needed the field to be flipped or the opposing team to be pinned deep on their end of the field, Sadler was the guy to call. Sadler was an elite player on the field and an even better player off the field, and that’s why he has to be my selection for punter on Dantonio’s all time Michigan State team.
