As Michigan State football fall camp begins, fans and the media get their first look at the 2024 Spartans participating in drills. The spring was a sneak preview, but now that the team is finalized and the transfer portal entrants and newcomers are here along with the 2024 incoming freshman class, we now know what the team will look like.

The media posted plenty of clips from practice on Tuesday and all eyes were on Aidan Chiles and how he looks slinging the ball to his teammates -- and he didn't disappoint.

While Chiles was the center of attention, Chris Solari of the Detroit Free Press actually made an interesting observation about other players that should make Spartan fans happy.

This is actually a really big development for the Spartans. Alex VanSumeren has been fighting through injuries for some time and both Stanton Ramil and Cole Dellinger suffered major injuries last season. Having them all back participating in camp from the start is a good sign and having that depth on the offensive and defensive lines will be critical.

Michigan State needs to improve on the offensive line and many believe that Ramil has the potential to be the best lineman on the roster. Dellinger is the perfect two-deep guy to have at center behind Tanner Miller and he could earn some quality snaps this season.

As for VanSumeren, when he committed, everyone assumed he would have a major impact early on, but he's been fighting through injuries and now it looks like he's finally healthy.

All of these former four-star recruits could be major parts of a program turnaround.
