3. When this team plays to its potential, watch out

A lot of national media members were picking Mississippi State to win this game which was a little surprising given the fact that the Spartans have Tom Izzo and it's March but they felt like the Bulldogs were the tougher team.

But they didn't take into account that the Spartans have barely played to their sky-high potential this season. They have struggled to remain consistent but when they're clicking and playing as a team, no one can really hang with them. Just ask Baylor.

The Spartans took an early lead over Mississippi State and never really looked back. They led for the complete 40 minutes and looked like the clear better team.

If you showed this game to someone who had no idea what the seeding was, they would probably tell you that Michigan State was a 5-seed and Mississippi State was a 12. It was that lopsided throughout. Michigan State cruised and it was the game that they needed after a stressful regular season.

When this team is clicking, watch out.
