Here we are, less than 24 hours before Michigan State basketball tips things off in the 2024 NCAA Tournament and Spartan fans everywhere have a knot in their stomachs.

Yes, it's March and if you don't have that feeling, you may not be alive -- or your team just didn't make the tournament. Fortunately for Spartan fans, they haven't had a stress-free March in over 26 years.

This year's Michigan State team feels a little different, though. No, I'm not exactly speaking about them in a good way, but this team feels like it could either get bounced immediately or make a huge run to the Final Four. There feels like no in-between with these guys.

Michigan State began the season No. 4 in the country and had all the potential in the world only to start the season 4-5 and drop out of the rankings right away. But will we see the team that we all expected and who beat teams like Indiana State, Baylor, and Illinois while pushing Purdue to the brink twice or will it be the team that lost to James Madison, Ohio State, and Iowa?

Here's why I think we could see the former over the next few weeks.
