2. Nick Marsh, WR

Nick Marsh hasn't even played a snap in the green and white, and he's already one of the most intriguing players on the roster.

The true freshman has great size and athleticism, and combined with his speed and ball skills he profiles as a very dangerous receiver. Throughout spring practice, Marsh received high praise from head coach Jonathan Smith and receivers coach Courtney Hawkins, and it appears their confidence was not misplaced — Marsh put on a very impressive performance in the spring game.

It's obviously hard to draw too many concrete conclusions before he takes real snaps, but it's obvious that the talent is all there, as evidenced, especially, by his status as a former near-top-100 recruit.

The physique, the skills, the pedigree — it all adds up to a fascinating prospect. The Spartans have plenty of veterans in the pass-catching room, but will Marsh be able to carve himself out a sizable role in Year 1 nonetheless? I think he has the ability to, and I'm very excited to find out.
